This group project, developed for our Internet of Things course, explored how physical objects interact with the digital world, with a focus on backend development over frontend design. Using AWS and GitHub for hosting and version control, we built a custom Alexa application that accessed and responded to multiple MySQL databases created in PHPMyAdmin. Most of the coding was done in JavaScript and SQL. We worked collaboratively to build the app and databases, and our final deliverables included a working demo hosted on AWS and a promotional video. While the AWS instance is no longer active due to cost, the video still showcases the functioning application.
